François Grenier
François treats ceramic surface as a “skin” building layered, unstable textures that sit somewhere between geology, architecture and flesh. He is also known for figurative works and vessel-like forms that deliberately refuse function, using dense, experimental surfaces to explore vulnerability, power and the small absurdities of human behaviour. His work has been exhibited at the Thames Art Gallery and ARTspace in Chatham, the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery's shop in Waterloo, the Gardiner Museum Shop in Toronto, as well as in selected group shows and juried exhibitions in BC and Ontario.
