Daniel Turres

Daniel Turres is a Chilean Canadian filmmaker and visual artist whose work blends cinematic storytelling with illustration and mixed media. Beginning his creative journey through drawing and design, Daniel later expanded into independent filmmaking, writing and directing projects including the horror feature Fresh Meat. His artwork reflects a strong narrative sensibility, often capturing moments that feel like fragments of larger unseen worlds. Inspired by curiosity, resilience, and the beauty found in everyday life, Daniel’s work invites viewers to pause and imagine the stories behind the image. Living in Southwestern Ontario, he continues to explore new creative mediums while collaborating closely with his wife and creative partner Whitney Archer, believing that art is not only about expression but also about connection, discovery, and sharing creative energy with the community.
